Mr. Johnny Ray Henderson, age 63, of the Union Hill community in Morgan County, Alabama, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Johnny was born on December 6, 1961, in Marshall County, Alabama, to the late John Elbert Henderson and Clara Belle Criscoe Henderson.
A proud graduate of Brewer High School, Johnny excelled as a three-sport athlete, participating in basketball, baseball, and football. He later dedicated many years as a factory worker with Owens Corning. Johnny was well known for his passion for auto racing, as well as his love for NFL and college football.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John Elbert and Clara Henderson; his grandparents, John E. Henderson, Elizabeth B. Lambert Henderson, Joseph David Criscoe, and Mary Etta Pike Criscoe; his sisters, Sandra Gail Becker and Sherrie Sue Rowe; his brother, Melvin Fayne Henderson; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Westbrooks, and Harold Becker.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Westbrooks and Patricia Ann Dunaway (Tim Greenhaw); his brother, Thomas Lynn Henderson (Elizabeth Woodruff); and a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Per the family’s wishes, Johnny will be cremated, with no public services to be held at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
