Johnnie Horton Seay, 89, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Seay was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, and her favorite things were cooking and gardening.
The funeral service will be Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Richard Parker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until service time.
Survivors include sons, Lance Seay and Bob Seay, both of Russellville; grandchildren, Ann Seay, Susan Seay, both of Florence, Bradley Seay, Decatur, and Kerby Seay Smith and husband, Shannon, Birmingham; great-grandchild, Mary-Hadley Smith; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Mary Steele Winchester.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hovater, Tommy Baker, Jimmy James, Bradley Seay, Shannon Smith and Jimmy Montgomery.
Honorary bearers will be Al Horton, Bill Counts and Dan Counts.
She was preceded in death by husband, Houston Seay; parents, John and Cleo Horton; brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Steele, Mattie Earp, Otho James, Fernando Horton and Wesley Horton; daughter-in-law, Scarlet Seay.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
