John Michael Mabry, 86, of Huntsville, passed this life on April 27, 2024. Mr. Mabry was born February 4, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to his southern parents, the late Johnnie and Madge Hyde Mabry.
Mr. Mabry was a devoted and active member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene for 43 years until the church disbanded. He is now a member of the Southeast Church of the Nazarene in Huntsville, Alabama. He retired from Onan Corporation.
Survivors include his wife and best friend of 56 years, Linda Honea Mabry; their son, Jonathan Mabry (Anita); his son, Mike Mabry (Patricia); and his daughter, Tavye Triemer (David); grandchildren, Sara Edison (Steve), Katherine Payne (Andrew), Michael Mabry, Chris Mabry (Abby), Sherry Daivs (Wayne), and Sam Howard (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Bebe and Luci Edison, Dean Payne, Katie Davis, and Kyler and Kaden Howard; sisters-in-law, Eva Pendergrass and Dean Honea; and brother-in-law, Glen Honea. He was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Benny Howard; and a number of sisters and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Byron Brown and Shane Perry officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery on Butler Road in New Market, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude or Gideons International.
