Gaile Kniep Peake, 87, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed into the arms of her waiting Savior on April 28, 2024. She was born October 19, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Kirk Hubert and Erma Pearce Kniep. Upon graduation from Woodlawn High School, she attended Howard University (Samford) where she met her future husband, Hobert Granville Peake, Jr. (Buddy).

Gaile and Buddy were married in 1956, enjoying 67 years together. They were blessed with five children, Hobert Granville Peake, III (Carolyn), Clayborn Lee Peake (Robin), Scott Pearce Peake (Constance), Molly Peake Weakley (Bob), and Kirk Richard Peake (Mary). She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brother, Kirk Kniep. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Kniep.

Dedicated to serving her family and her church, Gaile’s life is a testament to God’s sustaining grace and steadfast love for her Savior, Christ Jesus. Gaile was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and faithful friend and mentor to many.

The family will receive visitors at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Doctrinal Bible Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside at Maple Hill Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor William “Bill” Wenstrom, Jr.

Pallbearers are Caleb Peake, Chris Mauck, Dustin Gean, Batson Seales, Luke Haider and Richard Wilson.
