Memorial mass for John “Jack” McLuckie, Jr., age 88, of Decatur, will be Thursday, October 8, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
Mr. McLuckie, who died Sunday, October 4, 2015, at his residence, was born September 11, 1927, in New Jersey, to John McLuckie, Sr. and Hannah Earley McLuckie. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Brett McLuckie; and one sister, Florence Hoffmeister. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII, a 1952 graduate of Philadelphia University in Pennsylvania, and he was retired from Monsanto (Solutia).
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Rychlak McLuckie of Decatur; one daughter, Laurie McLuckie of Decatur; and one brother, Albert McLuckie (Eleanor) of Spartanburg, SC.
