Growing up in Florence, I looked up to Greg. He was always patient and kind to me. My heart is heavy for his family. This world needs more men like the Greg I remember.
I knew Greg as a friend I saw getting my morning beverage at our version of the General Store. I thought he was terrifically smart, entertaining, compassionate and knowledgeable. I’m still in shock at his passing. He was a good man and I pray for his eternal happiness and for his family.
I can remember Greg in his last case he tried before me, fighting hard for his client. He really cared. I remember he and the boys up at the swim club and what a good father he was. I will miss him.

Please note to anyone planning to attend Greg’s memorial that it is actually on Friday at 2PM, not Saturday.
Greg was one of my very best friends growing up in Florence. We remained close friends as adults. He was in my wedding and I was in his. To say that he will be missed is an understatement. I will miss him for the rest of my life. He was a great friend. His family will be in my prayers.
I have known Greg and his family at Ashland Place UMC for all the years they have attended, and I had the pleasure of serving on church committees with him. Greg was one of the finest young men I have known. Kind, considerate, patient, well spoken, smart, insightful, friendly—with a most engaging smile. To watch him serve as an usher (always with one his sons at his side), was one of the delights of my watching him and his boys mature. I am saddened beyond words at his untimely death. May God bless his soul, as well as Lorie, their boys, and their many family members and friends. His death is a tremendous loss to our church family and to the legal community and the Mobile community.
For all his fraternity brothers at W&L we wish Greg’s wife and family our thoughts and prayers. What a tragic loss! Kappa Alpha

I remember Greg well and we will all miss him. He was a true friend and brother. You are all in our prayers. John 16:33
This tremendous loss still so hard to believe and accept. Having known Greg since childhood growing up together from grade school to occasionally carpooling in high school – he in his MG, me in my classic Mustang – then following each other up Highway 81 coming and going to school at W&L and Hollins, I will always remember his smile, his happy-go-lucky approach to life, his kindness, his intelligence, how he sort of walked on his toes. I will miss him. Our core group from school will never be the same. My prayers are with his family, and especially his children.
Will miss my friend and Disneyland roommate. Praying for Lorie and the boys.

I knew Greg in college as a fellow ROTC cadet. He was always very positive in every situation and never had a bad thing to say about anybody. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I join my KA brethren’s expressions of condolences and sympathies to Lorie and her family. Greg was always a friend and a man who added energy and honor to any endeavor. Our prayers are with Greg and his family.

Greg was a good man. I already miss seeing him. He was a source of strong encouragement as a lawyer.
I just can’t believe that Greg is gone We grew up across the street from each other. We played countless hours of all kinds of fun and nonsense. We got bikes the same year at Christmas, we walked to and from Gilbert School together, we were in scouts together, and I even pulled one of Greg’s baby teeth at YMCA day camp. I think I got in trouble about that, but I thought I was helping. I always thought i’d see Greg again in this life, but I guess it will be the next. Much sympathy and love to his family and friends.
