John Frazier Kennedy has run his race in his earthly pilgrimage and has crossed over to that land that is fairer than day. After complications of pneumonia and a hospital stay, John Frazier died peacefully in his sleep at his Fort Worth home. He was forty-four years old. Born in Tupelo to Gregg Kennedy and Margaret Ann Frazier Kennedy on December 16, 1981, John Frazier grew up here as an adventurous, full-of-life young man. Graduating from Tupelo High School in 2000, he was an ace soccer player, playing on two state championship teams. He loved a road trip, going to concerts of his many favorite artists and listening to music. His unique vivacious personality endeared him to a wide circle of friends. He was saved at Calvary Baptist Church where his family had been members for over six decades. He moved to Fort Worth over a year ago where he and his fiance’, Stephanie Laird, made their home. John Frazier had many mountain top and valley experiences in his life, but the joy he received and the love he felt for his only son, Miles, was always unquestioned. He will be sorely missed by many.

A service celebrating his life and faith will be held at noon Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors- Tupelo with Pastor Eric Burton of the Sycamore Church speaking. Dr. Darwin Brooks, who taught John Frazier piano at a young age, will provide a concert of hymns during the time of visit. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday, along with a meal and time of fellowship following the service. Everyone is invited. This would’ve been John Frazier’s favorite part. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Livestreaming at noon and will be archived thereafter.

John Frazier is survived by his son, Miles Frazier Kennedy, and Miles’s mother, Brandi Kennedy, both of Fulton, MS; his parents, Gregg and Margaret Ann Kennedy; his sister, Mary Margaret Kennedy of Tupelo; his fiance’ Stephanie Laird of Fort Worth, TX; his uncles, Bill Frazier (Lydia) of Ridgeland, MS, Danny Kennedy (Ellen) and Kirk Kennedy (Melissa) all of

Tupelo; two special cousins, Cathy Frazier Steward and David Price, plus many cousins and their families. John Frazier leaves a host of friends, all of whom were special to him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Project 90 Building Fund, P. O. Box 1008, Tupelo, MS 38802 or to the Sycamore Church Legacy Fund, 1212 Nelle Street, Tupelo, MS 38801.
