John Ethan Walling, 35, of New Hope, passed away Saturday.
In addition to being a dedicated and loyal son, he was the founder and Co-Owner of DixieLand Coin and Silver, LLC. He had a life long passion for coin collecting and was a successful dealer in coins. His favorite places were on the water fishing, watching Alabama football, or pulling pranks on his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by father, Michael (Mickey) Cope; grandfathers, Johnnie Walling and Wilburn Buddy Vann; and bonus grandfather, Johnny Vann.
Surviving are mother, Alice Cope; fiancée, Melanie Lewis; grandmother, Faye Vann; aunts, Johnnie (Gary) Patterson, Annett Walling, and Ashley Vann; bonus grandparents, Clinton and Patsy Martin; cousins, Dean, Hallie, Alex, Nathan, Trey, Mason and Kai; nephews, Kase and Weston; niece, Oaklyn; and best friend and business partner, Dr. Daniel Burnes and wife Espy.
Visitation will be Friday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 3:00 PM with Michael Carpenter officiating.
