John Dow Haygood, Jr., 64, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 3, 2017 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, AL. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pastor Chad Haygood will officiate.
John was retired from T.V.A. Colbert Steam Plant, having worked for over thirty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his father John Dow Haygood, Sr.
Survivors are his wife of forty-four years Dottie Haygood; sons: Chad Haygood and wife Meredith, Zach Haygood and wife Chelsea; mother Gloria Haygood; brother Frank Haygood; sisters: Sherry Alesanco and husband Ronnie, Rebecca Grayson and husband AL; seven grandchildren: John Andrew, Luke, Jude, Bryson, Maddie, Margaret, Sadie and several nieces and nephews.
John was a loving and generous husband, father, and “Pops.” His wife was the apple of his eye and he adored his seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Black, Mike Davis, Terry Gamble, Paul Grayson, Rodney Lacks, Dennis Pigg, and Phillip West.
