John Cleveland Garrison John Cleveland Garrison, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born on September 19, 1939, in Albertville, AL. John and Mary Ragsdale were married in 1959. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and was an Alabama fan. He was a lifelong resident of Albertville, AL and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his church and served as a deacon. He worked for SCI Sanmina and retired after many years of service. He enjoyed scuba diving and piloting small aircraft.
John is survived by his loving wife Mary Garrison and his children Beth Cribbs and Craig Garrison. His
legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren Wesley Cribbs, Wade Cribbs, and Marissa Garrison
as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition, he is preceded in death by his parents George and Clyde Garrison, sisters Elizabeth Garrison
and Cleta Richey, brothers George Garrison Jr. and Dennis Garrison.
A funeral service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Adams
Brown Service Funeral Home with Bro. David McMillen and Bro. Brent Roe, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 12:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Assisting Mr. Garrison to his final resting place at Marshall Memorial Gardens Cemetery will include friends, family, and pallbearers Randy Amos, Tom Brown, Tim Davis, Keith Rhodarmer, Mike Smith, and Melton Smith. John Cleveland Garrison will be remembered for his love, dedication, and joy found in helping others. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
