Mr. John Barry Morris, age 68 of Daviston, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Birmingham. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
Mr. Morris was a Coosa County native but had lived most of his life in Clay and Talladega counties. He was a graduate of Mellow Valley High School and had worked for Russell Manufacturing and also for Wellborn Cabinet Company.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane W. Morris of Daviston; one son, Freddie Morris of Wedowee; two sisters: Delana Hodnett (Roy) of Mellow Valley and Sarah Payne (Randall) of Alexander City; one brother, Richard Morris (Renee’) of Joplin, Missouri and three grandchildren: Amy, Cody and Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Morris and Peggy Sue McCain Morris; one daughter, April Lee and one brother, Tommy Morris.
