Joel Franklin Flannigan, 63, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. A graveside service will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Vandiver Hollow Cemetery with Jeff Flemming officiating.
Joel was a native and lifelong resident of the Shoals. He was a Army Reserve veteran and a Truck Driver.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Laddie and Liza Sockwell Flannigan.
Joel is survived by his wife, Susan Brown Flannigan; daughter, Amanda Wells (Randy); sisters, Shelia McCaig and Iva Jean Counce (David); and grandchildren, Mackenzie, Savannah, and Landon Wells.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
