Joe “Doc” Darren Bailey, 54 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Bailey was born on January 11th, 1969, in Mobile, to Joe Don Bailey and Linda Parks.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his father Joe Don Bailey (Candy); mother Linda Parks Stevens (Greg); sisters Heather Bailey and Ashley Dobbs (Paul Jr.); nieces Macy Dobbs, Addie Dobbs, Jenna Dobbs; grandmother Helen Parks Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents C.W. “Bud” Bailey and Mary Bailey, and Johnny Parks.
Funeral services for Mr. Bailey will be Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Adam Brewer and Barry Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Bates, B.J. Rowe, Mark Stephens, Keith Rowe, Paul Dobbs, Jr., and Mark Abernathy.
