Joan Gwendolyn Trader – Obituary

Joan Gwendolyn Trader was born May 13, 1926 in Buffalo, New York and was raised by the late Henry and Gertrude Nowack. She worked in the insurance industry for many years before retiring and enjoying life with her late husband, Frank. Joan, or Gran as most people knew her lived in five states before calling Huntsville, AL home. She had a love for God, her family, gardening, making homemade sauce, and QVC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Trader and Son-in-laws, Dr. Timothy Edwards and Donald Kinsey.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Edwards (Huntsville, AL); Grandchildren, Denise and Drew Tyriver (Huntsville, AL); Richard Kinsey (Kathryn- Crestview, FL) and Susie Kinsey (Cumming, GA).

She is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Megan and Jacob (Jamie) Tyriver (Huntsville, AL); Aaron (Elodia) Koger- (Lake Helen, FL), Heather, Alicia and Ashley Kinsey (GA, MO, FL) and Chase (Rachel) Kinsey (Statesboro, GA). She is also survived by and was blessed to have 6 great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 2, 2018 from 4-6pm at: 266 River Cove Road Huntsville, AL 35811.

Should friends desire, a contribution may be sent to Locust Grove Baptist Church for the “Friends of Chuluc”fund. Gran sponsored children in the Village of Chuluc in Guatemala and supported the efforts there.
