  JoAn Davis Dial Profile Photo Davis Dial, 85, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Life Care Center of Hickory Woods in Antioch.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Greg Vick and Allen Vick officiating.  Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

JoAn was born on March 4, 1939 in Maury County to the late Grover Cleveland Davis and the late Myrtle Leona Tice Davis.  She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1958, attended Falls Business School in Nashville.  For many years she was a tour director for Shockey Tours out of Louisville, Kentucky and also worked for Tennessee Carolina Transportation in Nashville for 21 years.  JoAn enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening, growing flowers and a former volunteer at Stonecrest Hospital in Smyrna.  She was a long time member of Stewarts Creek Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Allen Dial, Sr. of Smyrna that she married on May 29, 1959; son, Bobby Allen Dial, Jr. (Teresa) of Smyrna; grandson, Brandon Dial (Katelyn) of Murfreesboro; step grandson, Casey Todd (Grey) of Murfreesboro; two great granddaughters, Avery and Emerson Dial; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Della Maddux, Marie Hickman, Sudie Harwell Norman, J.C. Davis, L.B. Davis, and Johnny Davis.

Pallbearers will be Perry Pugh, Frankie D. Harwell, Rick Stanaland, Heath Richardson, Kelly Stacey, and Nathan Copeland.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Harwell and Joe James.
