Jimmy WattsFuneral services for Mr. Jimmy Watts, age 65 of Ashland, will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. Billy East officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Watts passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his residence. Born in Talladega, he spent the majority of his life in Clay County. Jimmy attended Clay County High school and Ayers Technical School for auto body and paint. He was the proud owner of Jimmy Watts Body shop and worked over 40 years in auto body repair. Jimmy was a huge fan of Alabama football and loved working on vehicles. He would help anyone and give them the shirt off his back if they needed it. Jimmy was always cutting up and being a prankster. He loved his granddaughters, especially spoiling them and giving them dollars here and there. He was a loving brother, spouse, father, grandfather and friend that will be truly missed. Jimmy was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

He is survived by his spouse, Angela Watts of Alexander City, his daughter, Stephanie Williams (Kevin) of Ashland, his son, Pete Watts of Saluda, South Carolina, his sister, Peggy Kerr (Mike) and his brother, Harold Watts (Ann), both of Ashland, two granddaughters: Alexis Price and Aria Watts, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nettie Watts, two sisters: Faye McCain and Sarah Watts, and three brothers: Bobby, Edward and Phillip Watts.

Active pallbearers will be: Leon Suggs, Brandon Suggs, Brian Denney, Kyle Denney, Wendell Waldrop, Kevin East and Danny Watts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of services.
