Jimmy “Scott” Thompson, age 58 of Anniston passed away on April 10th, 2023 at his home after a courageous journey with cancer.
Scott was born on January 17, 1965 in Talladega and was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. A man who loved NASCAR and Alabama Football spent 20 years working at New Flyer where his co-workers became family to him.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Russell; children, Tanya-Tanner Thompson, Coe Thompson, Megan Gump; by his father, Jimmy Wayne “Jim” Thompson, his brother Chris Thompson, 4 grandchildren and 3 nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Coe Thompson.
Special thanks to all who provided care, visited and showed their love to the family during his journey.
In accordance with Scott’s wishes, no ceremony is planned.
