Jimmy Ray PoseyAlbertville, Alabama bids farewell to one of its beloved residents, Jimmy Ray Posey, who peacefully passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 28, 1942, to the late Charlie and Nancy Posey, Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of community involvement, familial love, and cherished memories.
Jimmy was a dedicated member of Geraldine Masonic Lodge #838, York Rights, and Cahaba Shriners. His commitment to these organizations showcased his passion for fellowship and service to others, leaving an indelible mark on the community he called home.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nalda Kathleen Posey, Jimmy is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Wilma Faye Williams and twin sister Linda Massey, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. His presence in the lives of family and friends was a source of warmth and support.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brothers, Hoyt Posey and Gene Posey, and sisters, Maverine Vines, Ernestine Whitlock, Bonnie Bohanon, and Doris Chandler. The void left by his passing is felt deeply by those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Marty Massey, Laura Jean Gamble, and Bro. Tracy Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Friends and well-wishers are also invited to pay their respects on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Jimmy Ray Posey’s final resting place will be at Geraldine Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace. The family extends their gratitude to Shepherds Cove employees, In Home Health Care employees, and the dedicated doctors whose outstanding care brought comfort and solace during Jimmy’s final days.
In this time of mourning, let us remember Jimmy Ray Posey for the love he shared, the impact he made, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. May his soul rest in peace.
