Jimmy R. “Richard” King – Obituary

Mr. Jimmy R. “Richard” King, age 55, died Friday,

February 8, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

 

He was born May 6, 1957, in Jasper, AL to

Jimmy King and Carroll Jackson King.

 

Mr. King was an accomplished musician who played many instruments.

 

He is survived by his mother, Carroll J. Tapscott and husband, Roy, of Decatur;

two sisters, Sami Carroll Watts of Decatur, and

Patricia Padgett and husband, Chris, of Athens;

two nephews, Preston Padgett of Athens,

and Jacob Padgett of Athens;

and two nieces, Keri Hester of Rome, GA,

and Quinci Evans of Hartselle.

My wife and I were friends of Richard’s and would watch and listen to him play in Titusville. He was very talented. May he rest in peace with our Lord.
