A graveside service for Mr. Jimmy Kennedy, age 77, of Ashland will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Clay County Memory Gardens with Aaron Messer officiating.
Jimmy lived his whole life in Clay County working in the Forestry Industry. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sons; Jerry(Angela) Kennedy of Ashland, Kelvin(Mandy) Kennedy of Ashland and Nicholes(Katrina) Kennedy of Ashland; 5 five grandchildren, Austin, Will, Derreck, Maeleigh and Jameson; a sister, Jeannie Buchanan(Walter) of Ashland; several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Zader Kennedy; his wife, Elaine Kennedy; siblings, Willie Glenn, Betty Hendon, Robert Kennedy and William Pete Kennedy.
Pallbearers will be his three sons, Jerry, Kelvin and Nicholes and Austin Kennedy, Will Kennedy, Jamison Kennedy and Derrick Kennedy.
No visitation is planned. The family requests no flowers but donations can be made to a charity in Mr. Kennedy’s name.
