Jimmie Harold Short, 80, of Baldwyn, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Jimmie was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. He loved traveling, playing the guitar and piano, hunting and being in the outdoors.
A Celebration of life will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Harper officiating and Mr. Roger Inman will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and until service time on Thursday. Burial will be in the Prentiss Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Roma Lea Short; his brother-in-law, Danny Holt (Tammy); his cousins, Linda Brown, Theresa Collins, Darrell Collins and Janice Robinson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mauveline Short and his cousins, Virgil Robinson and David Collins.
