Jim L. Manley Funeral Service for Jim L. Manley, 74 of Athens will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Michael Gunter officiating.  Burial will be in the Somerville Church of God Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the funeral home.  Mr. Manley was born August 28, 1951 Huntsville, AL.  Jim passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at North Alabama Speciality Hospital.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Jim served in the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  He also served in the Army National Guard.  He was the State Commander for the VFW for many years.  Jim also served as a Madison County Deputy after he retired from Service.  He received his Law Degree from Birmingham School of Law.  He owned Buyers Agent Real Estate Company for many years.  After retiring  he taught Real Estate Law at Calhoun Community College.  Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason.  He was in the Helion Masonic Lodge in Huntsville.  Jim was a fine man, a loving Husband, Father. and Grandfather.

Son-Keith Manley (Cynthia)

2 Daughters-Kelly Manley

Susan Manley Hall

2 Sisters-Mary Betterton

Susi Turri (Robert)

6 Grandchildren-Meghan Morgan, Christian Manley, Elizabeth Chojnacki, Karl Chojnacki, Myra Manley,  and John Michael Hall.

Pallbearers will be Keith Manley, Matt Napier,Christian Manley, Allen Tinnon, John Michael Hall,  and Mike Hall.
