Funeral service for Jewel Jones, age 94 of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 1 PM, Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home.
Jewel was born March 24, 1927 to the late Lundy and Josie Thrasher Plunkett. Mrs. Jones enjoyed being a homemaker to her family and was a member of West End Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Mrs. Jones passed away on May 27, 2021.
Survivors include daughter, Shirley (Tony) Parrish of Florence, AL; son, Dr. Phillip Wade (Karen) Jones of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Paskel Plunkett of Hazel Green, AL, Kenneth (Jo Lee) Plunkett of Ardmore, AL and Rev. Joe Wayne (Sandra) Plunkett of Huntland. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.W. Jones; son, Lowell Wendall Jones; sisters, Wilma Quick and Eunice Slayton; brothers, L.J. Plunkett, Adell Plunkett, and Rev. Ray Plunkett; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12 PM – 1 PM, Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Multi County Cancer Support Network, C/O Cary Sullivan, P.O. Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
