Jewel Bernis Sisson age 96 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Sisson was born July 19, 1918 in Crews, AL to William Thomas Webb and Velma Allie Roberson Webb.
Services will be Saturday, November 29, 2014 11:00 a.m., at Asbury Methodist Church in Millport, AL with Daniel Metcalfe and Jammie Turner officiating. Mrs. Sisson will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Velma Webb; husband, Henry Raymond Sisson; sister, Lena Mae White.
Survived by one daughter, Helen Raye Porter and husband, Don; two grandchildren, Susan Kearley and Steven Porter; five great-grandchildren, Grace Kearley, Emily Porter, Joy Kearley, Sadie Porter and Daniel Kearley.
