Memorial services for Mr. Jesse R. Swift, age 78, are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Crocker officiating. Mr. Swift passed away early Monday in Lexington. He was born April 26, 1936 in Scotts Hill to the late Jesse Fielder Swift and Hazel Reeves Swift. He was a retired Greyhound Bus driver and a member of First Baptist Church and the Jack Hay Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Eugene Swift and his sister, Dorla Swift Wicker. Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Mrs. Gail Presley Swift; two sons, Glenn Baxter Swift (Angela Bishop Swift) and Samuel Braden Swift; one daughter, Tracye Swift Burford (Joe); five grandchildren, Taylor Swift Baker (Blake), Daniel Glenn Burford, Joseph Chandler Burford, Hunter Bishop Swift, and William Spencer Burford; and two great grandchildren, Bishop Sampson Baker and Barrett Gene Baker.
