Jesse E. Pressley was born on March 30, 1951, and passed away March 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Hanford Harold Pressley and Anna Mae Pressley Denoyer, as well as brothers Mitchell Pressley, Virgil Pressley, and Doyle Pressley. He had attended Long Island Baptist Church as a member for many years.
He pursued a career in the metals/pumps industry beginning as a floor sweeper at Alloy Fabricators and retiring from Sulzer Pumps (US), Inc., as a Quality Assurance Engineer in the nuclear industry. He continued as a business contractor in the industry until 2018.
He is survived by his wife Christine Whitcher Pressley (whom he married on July 20, 1974); brothers Michael Pressley, John Randall (Sue) Pressley, James Edward (Jody) Pressley and Paul Ray (Pam) Pressley; sisters in law Willene Whitcher Woods (Jim) and Tina Pressley; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, CDST. The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM, CDST, in the chapel of Rudder’s Funeral Home, 1552 County Road 94 (off Hwy 72), Bridgeport, AL 35740, with burial following in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens, 28615 Highway 72, Hollywood, AL 35752.
Bro. Wayne Winters will conduct the service. Mickey Bynum; James Edward Pressley, II; Bradley Eugene Pressley; Art Washburn; Pete Westmoreland; Preston Westmoreland; Adam Wileman; Brian Wileman will serve as pallbearers.
