Jerry Young was born on September 6, 1956 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Joseph Delaine and Lillie May Petty Young.
Mr. Young worked for TVT Towing as a towboat engineer for over 20 years. He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee and the Savannah Moose Lodge. He enjoyed shooting pool and eating breakfast with his buddies.
Jerry Young departed this life on March 16, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 10 days.
He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Smith and her husband Blake, Mandy Broyles and her husband Kerry (Buck), and Sarah Mace and her husband Cody, all of Savannah, Tennessee and grandchildren, Ellis Smith, Eastyn Smith, Sawyer Smith, Keagan Hopper, and Norah Hunt.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Delaine Young and an infant brother.
