Mr. Jerry Wayne “Rooster” Overman, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Lexington. He was born March 20, 1963 in Lexington to the late Joe Thomas and Meldean Watson Overman. He was a gravel truck driver for Dale McPeake and loved talking on the CB Radio. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Overman and three sisters, Mary Helen Overman, Betty Jean Brown, and Dorothy Heathscott.
Survivors include his four brothers, Junior Ray “Roscoe” Overman, Joe Henry “Mickey” Overman, Jimmy Clay Overman (Jane), and Tony Wade Overman (ReDonna); sister, Peggy Sue Overman; honorary sister Beverly Alsbrook; honorary daughter, April Forrest; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, November 23, 2024 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 6 – 10 PM, Friday, 10 AM – 10 PM, and on Saturday, 10 AM – 1 PM.
