Deborah Hughes Johns  It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Hughes Johns, age 69, on March 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky, and raised in Anniston, Alabama. Deborah was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. She was known for her selfless kind spirit that touched the lives of all wo knew her. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Minnie Poore; two brothers; a sister; and one son, Herbie Hughes “The Love Bug”.
She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Johns; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda Hughes; two daughters, Amanda and Misty Hughes; five grandchildren, Haley and Jacob Bowman, Macy Townsend, and Melinda and Destiny Hughes; five great grandchildren, Nyla Thomas, Addi Bowman, Charlie Rose and Ezra Traffanstedt, and Wesley Holliday; son-in-law, Brad Traffanstedt; brother, Donnie Kitchens; two sisters, Robin McClain and Tracy Carden; and many other relatives and friends. She is deeply loved and greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Fire City Church, 461 Choccolocco Road, Anniston, AL 36207, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
