Jerry Randall “Paw Paw” Tallent, age 72, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at his daughter’s residence.
Jerry was born October 22, 1953, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, to the late Aubrey Jackson (AJ) and Annie Ruth Higgs Tallent.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Spray of Cornersville; son Eddie Tallent of Fayetteville; sister Joye Delap of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Audrey Spray, Chance Spray, Saul Tallent, Jonny Tallent, J. C. Spray, Gracie Spray, Jake Tallent, and Weston Spray; one great grandchild Mayleigh Rose Frazier.
Jerry was self-employed in construction and as a carpenter. He enjoyed listening to music, grilling food, and hanging out with friends. He was a member of Red Oak Church of Christ.
Visitation with the family will be held at Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Cornersville Funeral Home with Mike Mitchell presiding. Burial will follow in Wright Cemetery in Frankewing.
Active pallbearers include Chance Spray, J. C. Spray, Saul Tallent, Johnny Tallent, Matt Richards, Scotty Lowe, Lee Oliver and Eddie Tallent.
Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren Weston, Audrey, Gracie and David Fowler.
