Jerry Franklin Thompson, 79, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, AL. He had been living in Muscle Shoals, AL. for fifteen years. His body was cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
Jerry was born August 18, 1937 in Paris, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Briton Thompson and Lousie Clendenin Thompson; and his wife, Lois Lee Jones.
Jerry Thompson (Big Daddy) is survived by his two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Pittman of Tarpon Springs, FL. and Lori (Mickey) Billingsley of Paris, TN; three sons, Jerry Franklin Thompson, Jr. of Tarpon Springs, FL., Ronald David Thompson of Muscle Shoals, AL., and John Phillip Thompson of Paris, Tn.; one brother, Michael (Anne) Thompson of Canton, MS.; five grandchildren, Jessica Daniel, Sara Thompson, Eric (Tiffany) Plumley, Phillip Plumley, and Payton Thompson; one great grandchild, Gabriel Daniel; one nephew, Craig (Sasha) Thompson of Buffalo, TX.; and two great nephews, Chase and Catch Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a Christian. He was one of the first members of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris, TN. He was a 1956 graduate of Grove High School, Paris, TN. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a retired truck driver. He loved his family.
