Jerry Early Betts, San Diego, Calif., formerly of Tuscumbia, Ala., departed his life Feb. 9, 2013. The funeral service will be in San Diego, Calif.
He accepted Christ as his Saviour as a young boy and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Presley and Mary Betts; brother, Carl Bonds; and sister, Brenda Betts Jones.
He is survived by one daughter, Dion Betts, Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters, Ella Bonds, Tuscumbia, Ala., Betty (Marvin) Foster, Lexington, Ky., Gloria (Nathaniel) Pride, Sheffield, Ala., Patricia Betts, Florence, Ala., Mildred (Harry) Moore, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Charles (Easter) Betts, Florence, Ala., Eddie Betts, Birmingham, Ala.; one aunt, Hattie Bonds, Cherokee, Ala.; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives; and friends.
