Jerry Earl Weaver Jerry Earl Weaver, 83, died peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Albertville, Alabama. Jerry was born in Marshall County to Samuel Earl Ernest and Helen Weaver.

Jerry was a devoted husband, Dad, Granddad, and Brother. He retired from management at Tyson Foods (formerly Hudson Foods) 19 years ago. He was a well-respected and valued employee. His presence was definitely known when he came through the plant with his entourage in tow. He led with a firm but fair hand. Jerry lived a life of love and hard work. He was lovingly known as “Poppa Jo” / “Pops” by his 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. His happiest times were spent with his “Bride,” sharing a cigar with his grandsons, sitting on the porch with his family, watching Alabama football and Gunsmoke, and feeding his dog, Jax.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Donald; grandson, Cameron Blake Weaver; brothers Michael, Randy, and Mark Weaver; and son-in-law, David Lancaster.
Jerry is survived by his beautiful, loving wife of 65 years, Joann Malone Weaver; daughters Jana (Jerry) Ponder, Joanna Lancaster, Angel (Richie) O’Connor; son Jeremy (Julia) Weaver; brothers Larry (Jeanne), Steve (Kathy), Jeff (Michelle) Weaver; and sister-in-law Kay (Tim) Lewis.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service time, beginning at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jerry Ponder, Seth Lancaster, Jake Ponder, Zachary Weaver, Ezra Weaver, and Grayson O’Connor. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Lancaster, Isaac Scroggins, and Drake Ponder.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and memories. He will be missed by all who loved him. Services entrusted to the care of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.
