Jerry Don Sandlin, 64, of Rogersville, died Wednesday, Sept. 19th, 2012, at his residence after an extended battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Lee High School, a Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy and a sales representative in the beauty supply industry for over 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville where he served as a Deacon.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Bill Patton and Bertis Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Spier, Michael Sandlin, John Darwin, John Hudgens, Ron Chesser, Jerry Gilbert and Phil Radzinski. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church Deacons and the Men’s III Sunday School Class.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, JD Sandlin. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Beverly Crawford Sandlin; son, Clint Quarles; mother, Twila Sandlin; sisters, Linda (Mike) Spier and Patsy (John) Darwin; brother, Michael Sandlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
