Mr. Jermaine Lee Moore was born on April 10, 1981 to Michael Petty and Priscilla Moore in Huntsville, AL. He was a man of profound connections and unwavering dedication.
Jermaine entered into enteral Glory on November 14, 2023 at Marshall Medical Center North. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Moore; stepfather, Willie James Moore; great-grandmother, Willie Lee Drake; niece, Jasmine Moore; and great-aunts, Alberta McClain, Lillian Person, and Marie Jones. Jermaine was the youngest of his siblings and leaves to cherish his parents, Michael Petty (Mary) of Athens, AL and Priscilla Moore (Ralph) of Huntsville, AL; his son, Mason Moore of Harvest, AL; brothers, Gary Moore, Lavar Moore, both of Huntsville, AL, Minister Keevin Crutcher (Cheri) of Hillsboro, AL, Marcus Vance (Kimberly), Maurice Malone (Kristi), Kenzie Jackson, all of Athens, AL and Shaquille Sledge of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Tonya Gill of Athens, AL and Marissa Irons (Arnell) of Killen, AL; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Jermaine’s early education was received at James Oliver Johnson High school. He was baptized at an early age at Owens Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr H. Wendell Thompson.
Jermaine’s love for model cars, the Auburn Tigers, and the art of conversation mirrored his vibrant personality and zest for life.
A true mama’s boy, Jermaine shared an inseparable bond with his mother, spending countless cherished hours together, sharing meals and watching movies. His devotion to her knew no bounds, always ensuring her well-being and happiness.
The deepest joy of Jermaine’s life was his son Mason, sharing a mutual passion for sports, engaging conversations, and a resolute positivity towards life’s challenges. Their bond was a testament to the love and values Jermaine held dear.
His relationship with his older brothers, Gary and Lavar, was marked by a paternal love and care. From tender moments in childhood to supporting each other through life’s trials, their connection was woven with love, support, and countless shared memories.
Jermaine’s legacy encompasses the nurturing care he provided to his family, guiding them through life’s journeys and offering unwavering support. His impact was profound, leaving behind a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed and forever held close in the hearts of those he touched.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Owens Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (2520 Elton Road NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Dr. H. Wendell Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mr. Moore will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, and 8:30 until 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
