Jeff Sheets, age 62 of Albertville passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023.
Jeff was a graduate of The Albertville High School Class of 1979 and retired as a Captain of Guntersville Fire and Rescue where he worked for 32 years.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at White Oak Cemetery. Rev. Glen Pankey, Rev. Brent Roe and Rev. Jimmy Umphrey will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be The Guntersville Fire Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening.
He is survived by his wife; Mona Sheets, son, Sam Sheets, mother; Dorothy Jane Sheets, sisters; Wanda Sheets and Sue (Chuck)Whitmire and nieces; Lauren Cagle, Kelcey (Eric) Tidmore and Kala Vickery. Jeff was also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Marlon and Martha Killion, brothers-in-law: Mike (Leanne) Killion, Martin Killion (Lynn Bryant) and Matt (Candice) Killion and other nieces and nephews; Ryan (Tiffany) Killion, Mary Katherine (Jesse) Mulkey, Brooke Killion and Jake Killion.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father; Paul “Jack” Sheets and his brother; Clifford Samuel Sheets.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to theJeff Sheets Memorial Fund at Alabama Teachers Credit Union in Albertville.
