Mrs. Jean Wester Martin, age 82, of Albertville, passed away peacefully on April 03, 2026, at Lakeshore Senior Living.
Mrs. Martin was born on March 30, 1944, to the late Barley Wester and Jewel Wester. She was a faithful member of Carlisle Baptist Church since 2007. Jean had a special love for drawing and spent much of her free time creating artwork, often selling her beautiful pictures as a pastime. Her creativity and talent brought joy to many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Azell Wester Lindsey, Nell Wester Thompson, Burley Wayne Wester, and Faye Wester Rowell.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Gene Martin; her children, Jeff (Beth) Martin, Jana (Bobby) Tuck, and Joey (Jorgi) Martin; her grandchildren, Derek (Mallory) Martin, Logan (Matt) Justice, Bailey (Ross) Cochran, Anna Grace Tuck, Katie Tuck, Conner Martin, and Tanner Martin; six great-grandchildren with one more lovingly expected; her special friend, Ann Rogers Posey; and several nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The family will hold a private graveside service at Liberty Cemetery in Painter.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Lakeshore Senior Living for their outstanding care and compassion. Jean will be remembered for her love of family and her steadfast faith.
