Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Lomax Woody, age 77, are scheduled for 11 AM, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Scotts Hill Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Woody passed away early Sunday in Parsons. She was born May 6, 1939 in Decatur County to the late William Ollie and Mae Haggard Lomax. She was retired from I-Appel and was a member of Scotts Hill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Billy H. Woody; one son, Mike Woody; three brothers, Carl, Floyd, and Joe Lomax; and three sisters, Gladys Hays, Sue Houston, and Virginia Lomax. Survivors include her son, Jeff Woody (Paula) of Decaturville; one brother, Tommy Lomax (Dianna) of Bolivar; one sister, Pauline Hays of Scotts Hill; four grandchildren, Jill Davis (Shannon), Jennifer Rikard (John), Mason Woody, and Jordan Woody; and four great grandchildren, Ashlan Davis, Micah Scates, Jaden Scates, and Zayden Rickard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-9 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill and on Tuesday from 9-11 AM at Scotts Hill Church of Christ.
