Jean Camp, age 79 of the Dogtown Community, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born in DeKalb County on May 9, 1947 to the late William & Flossie Rector Goodwin. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her husband, James Camp; children, Pam (David) Clanton, Eddie Boykin, Janice (Kent) Garrett, and Chris (Chawntay) Camp; brothers, James Goodwin and Don Goodwin; sisters, Jerol Cowart and Mildred Duncan; grandchildren, Hilery (Randall) McCullough, Dexter (Sarah) Clanton, Dustin (Alyssa) Heard, Savannah (Jesse) Bowman, Gavin (Payton) Camp, and Darwin (Laci) Camp; great-grandchildren, Avery McCullough, Rowan McCullough, Morgan McCullough; Shepherd Clanton, Poppy Clanton, Jayce Bowman, and Elodie Heard; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Horace Goodwin; and sisters, Ethel Brewster, Gladys Templeton and Mary Butler.
