Funeral service for Jean A. Kreps Thomas age 85 of Hartselle will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at New Center Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Bates officiating with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Tuesday at the Church.
Mrs. Thomas, who was born on August 1, 1928 in Morgan County to Darry Willis Yeager and Leona Keel Yeager, died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was a member of New Center Baptist Church and had worked for many years with her daughter, Diane at Crowes Grocery. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Elmer “Mopey” Thomas and Ralph Kreps, a son; Steven Gillespie and a sister; Dora Kirby.
She is survived by a son; Danny Gillespie (Loretta) of Moulton and Diane Ward (Junior) of Bremen. 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Tracy Gillespie, Phillip Gray, Gerald Yeager, Von Yeager, Dale McMinemon and Geoff Halbrooks will serve as pallbearers.
