Jason Charles Leighton, age 48, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, employed with the Lawrence County Board of Education as a school bus technician, and of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Janie Elizabeth Leighton; maternal grandparents, William and Ruth Kilburn; and paternal grandparents, Boyd and Anna Belle Leighton.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Stover Leighton of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Colby Brown (Temperance) and Zach Brown (Ashley) both of Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren, Brayze, Ryder, Archer, Baker Kate, Rhett, and Huxley; his mother and step-father, Linda Leighton Pigg (Jim) of Lawrenceburg, TN; his father and step-mother, Randall Leighton (Pam) of Lawrenceburg, TN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020, with David Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Houser Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
