Janice Janice Smith Noble, age 66 of Tuscaloosa Alabama died July 17, 2014 at Druid Hospital Tuscaloosa Alabama after a long illness. A Service of Death and Resurrection will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Florence First United Methodist Church with visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Church Atrium. Reverends Kelly Clem, Robert Sparkman and Melody Traylor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Central Heights Community.

A Saturday visitation will be held at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 5 – 7 p.m.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan Grady Smith and Virginia Jane Bromley; sister-in-law Glenda Bentley Smith; and nephew Jonathan Smith; brother-in-law Terry Lovelace and loving Aunts and Uncles.

Survivors include her loving husband Hal Noble of Tuscaloosa Alabama to whom she was a wonderful supportive pastor’s spouse for almost 26 years. They were married on August 27, 1988; daughter Kristina Noble Berry (Eric) of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Ana and Isabel; son, Richard Lane Noble (Karin) of Hanford, California; grandchildren, Laila, Danny, Kyea and Preston; brothers, Grady Smith (Theresa) Florence, Alabama, Hugh Smith (Brenda) Killen, Alabama, Carl Smith (Denise) Richmond, Texas; and sisters Elaine Lovelace, Central Heights, Alabama and Kate Smith, Florence, Alabama; Nephews, Scott Smith (Danielle), Christopher Smith, Mike Lovelace (Charlotte), Kenneth Lovelace, David Lovelace (Hope); nieces, Lindsay Smith Siddall (Lane), Cheryl Smith Wade (Steven).

Janice is also survived by many very special friends who were the recipients of her thoughtful, oftentimes humorous notes.

Janice was a 1965 graduate of Central High School, Central Alabama. Janice received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Auburn University and practiced for several years at Central Pharmacy and was relief pharmacist in the cities of Anniston, Tuscaloosa and Decatur.

Janice was a dedicated spouse and mother who served her family and friends as an inspiration for living life through adversity with her use of humor and demonstrated perseverance. She will always be remembered for her wit, her kindness to all and love of life for which she is held in the highest esteem and regard.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Haraway, Ken Nix, Harold Harmon, Tom Smith, Carl Smith and Jerry Thrasher. Honorary pallbearers will be United Methodist Clergy Spouses.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Janice’s memory to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
