Janice Jay Baldwin – Obituary

Janice Jay Baldwin, 63, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at UAB Hospital.

She was born September 26, 1949. Janice graduated in 1967 from Millington High School in Michigan. She was a housewife and enjoyed weaving clothes, spinning on her spinning wheel, playing on the computer, and selling antiques. “Janie” was given to her by her older brother Bob.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her residence at 9:00AM with a balloon release immediately following.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years William “Bill” H. Baldwin age 60; son; Warren Wise age 37 and his wife Ashley Wise age 28; daughters, Wendy Alexander age 32 and her fiancée Brandon Brisco age 31, Tammy Baldwin age 31; brothers Robert “Bob” Jenings and his wife Dureen Jennings, Donald “Don” Jennings; sisters, Kathy Sherman and her husband Harvey Sherman, Geri Gilliam and her husband Roger Gillam; mother-in-law, Violet Hanna Baldwin age 92. She was “Big MawMaw” to 10 grandchildren; Hunter age 11, Wesley age 10, Drew age 7, Brandon age 11, Breanna age 10, Anthony age 10, Braydon age 4, Carly age 3 and Logan age 2.

“Big MawMaw” was started when Wendy’s children Brandon Lee and Breanna Lynn decided she was bigger than their other grandmother, “she laughed and said I am.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mary Jennings; grandson, Andrew James age 12 days old. Also, her son-in-law Jeremy Wayne Alexander who passed in a motorcycle accident on July 30, 2006 at the age of 26.
