Janice Fay Smith age 78, a resident of Demopolis, AL died April 9, 2024 at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa, after a brief illness. She was born July 19, 1945 in Alabama City, AL to Willard and Florence Ellis Huff. She was retired form General Motors. She has recently moved back to Alabama after living in Middle Tennessee for over thirty years.
She is survived by her two daughters, and Allison Busing (Terry) of Franklin, TN and Jennifer Jordan (Lee) of Demopolis, AL; and five grandchildren, Andrew Voss Busing, Amelia Grace Busing, Matthew Ellis Busing all of Franklin, TN and Sara Elaine Jordan and Mary Allison Jordan of Demopolis, AL.
Janice loved to cook for others and her greatest joy was being Nana to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four older siblings.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Decatur, AL on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
