Mrs. Janet Wilks Milly passed away at her home on Wednesday February 19, 2014. Janet was born in Detroit Michigan to Lynell and Avis Hays Wilks. After graduation from Arab High School, she attended Snead State Community College. She retired in 2004 from Theatrical Lighting Systems as Chief Financial Officer. She was a closet artist, an avid reader, and a Snoopy fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, David E. Milly; sisters, Lenda Presley and husband, Sidney, of Arab, Teresa Gibbs and husband, Dale, of Brownsboro, Karen Whisenant and husband, Tim, of Arab; brother, Randall Wilks and wife, Donna, of Arab; brothers-in-law, Steve Milly and wife, Cathy, of Huntsville, Pete Milly and wife, Karen, of Huntsville; sisters-in-law, Teresa Milly of Los Altos California, Kat West and husband, Reese, of Auburn; father-in-law John Milly of Huntsville; BFF Carolyn Maddox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville Alabama. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23 at New Canaan Baptist Church 965 County Road 1845, Arab Alabama with Rev. Jerry Burgett officiating.
