Funeral service for Janet Lynn Atwater, 65, will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Hardin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
The Angels came for Janet on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Grandview Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1961, in Mobile,Alabama, to Alvis L. Flannagan and Laura Louise Mitchell Flannagan.
Janet worked as a caregiver in Morgan County, Alabama. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. She loved people and helping all that she knew.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother- Billy Nell Flannagan, and a sister- Nancy Ann Frazier.
Survivors include
Husband – Richard “Rick” Atwater,
Sons- Shane Flannagan (Amber) and
Joshua Atwater (Misty),
Five Grandchildren – Leah Flannagan, Hunter Flannagan, Laci Flannagan Lofton, Gaige Atwater, Jaden Blakely and Jared Blakely,
One Great Grandchild – Waverlynn Lofton,
Brother – Wallace Flannagan (Joyce),
and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to help with service expenses at Peck Funeral Home.
