Janet “Jan” Denise Price, 65, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home.
Jan was born on July 6, 1960, to the late Mr. Gene Goode and Mrs. Martha Browning Vessels.
She spent all her life in the Ardmore community and was a member of Community Baptist Church as well as the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, Jan enjoyed finishing furniture and watching Alabama football.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Goode, her stepfather, Dwight Vessels, as well as two sisters, Brenda Kretchmar and Gina Stevenson.
Jan is survived by her husband of 47 years, Don Price, one daughter, Amber (Joe) Schley, one sister, Lori (Alex) Whitt, one grandson, Kayden Warman, as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held for Mrs. Price at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow visitation with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Steve Hargrove and speaker Jeff Hodges will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
