Janet Clements (neé Tucker), 64, was born in Talladega, Alabama, on July 24, 1962, to Dwight Delano Tucker and Brenda Lee Tucker (neé Tiffin), both of Cullman. Always cheerful and kind, she brought brightness and goodness to everyone who met her. She would always find the best in people and situations and truly loved her family and friends unconditionally. The most important thing in her life was living for Jesus as her only Lord and Savior. She made her public profession of faith at age 11 and held firmly to that faith throughout her life.
She grew up in Cullman, Alabama, where she was very active in her High School and made many treasured memories, which she often recalled. She went on to attend Samford University in Birmingham, where she studied music as a voice major.
She married her husband, Scott Robert Clements, in July 1987 and was his faithful and loving wife for 39 years. Together they lived to serve the Lord in their daily lives and were inseparable partners, enjoying their home life, travel, and time with family. With him, she lived in Indiana and California before they settled in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, in 1999.
During this time, she raised their two sons, Christopher and William, who were her constant joy and delight. She was blessed when they each married and added their spouses to the family along with later many grandchildren.
Her family always appreciated her tireless, joyful planning of family events: always paying attention to even the smallest details. No Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, or birthday ever went without a lavish meal that brought her great happiness to prepare.
She calmly underwent a year of successful cancer treatment and continued to be an encouragement to those around her. She passed away unexpectedly on September 13th, 2026, at her childhood home from a rare complication of treatment during a visit to her family in Cullman, where she and her husband maintained a second residence.
She is survived by her husband Scott, her mother Brenda Tucker, her two sons Christopher Bradford Clements and William Edward Clements, her daughters-in-law Brittany Clements (Kincer) and Erica Clements (Larsen), and her grandchildren Audrey, Tucker, Tylen, Liam, Brielle, and Graham.
