Janet Bonds Hart, 82, of Jacksonville/Williams passed away on April 8th after
succumbing to a lengthy illness.
Janet was born on January 31, 1943, to H.H. Bonds and Christine Miller Bonds and attended school at Jacksonville High School and married Gene Hart of Piedmont, Al.
after high school. They had three children, Tamela Roberts, Todd Hart and Allison
Salsbury and were blessed to have one grandchild; Matthew Hart, and two great-
grandchildren; Marley and Ivy Hart.

She was a homemaker and in the early 70s, she and her husband opened a restaurant
in Jacksonville Alabama called Harts House. After several successful years, she
moved in a different direction of selling furniture until her last job that she considered
her favorite, being a hostess in a restaurant where everybody knew her name and she
knew theirs. She always made sure there was tea as well as great conversations of
places she’d been to and places she would like to go.

She always referred to herself as a ‘on the go-go’ girl and would do a little two step
dance when she would tell people. She was always on the go to her next adventure –
connecting with and making friends along the way, always the ultimate social butterfly.

The last four years she was a victim of Alzheimer’s but was fortunate enough to have an
amazing caregiver, her daughter Tamela Roberts, that has been dedicated to her. With
the assistance of Enhabit Hospice, Janet entertained friends and family as she received
comfort and care as well as spiritual guidance.

She will truly be missed by her family, many friends and all the pets that she fed along
the way.

Her ashes will be spread among all the places that she traveled and loved.
