Jamie Keith Green, age 40, of Rogersville, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. He was an avid cyclist and died doing what he loved the most. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 3, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Jamie was born on December 23, 1973, to the late Sybil Green Hampton and Ted Austin, in Sheffield, AL. He was a 1992 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, and a 1997 graduate of the University of North Alabama. Jamie was employed at Teledyne Brown Engineering. In addition to his parents, Jamie was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Austin Bratton.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Heather McClung Green; brother, Jon Austin; sisters, Tracey Hampton Hardgrave and Holly Austin Harris; brother-in-law, Michael McClung, wife Mindy, and their son Andrew; and many other relatives and friends.
Jamie was passionate about animals and children in need, therefore the family request memorials to Shoals PAWS PMB 277, 2701 Mall Road, Florence, AL 35630, or to the Dave Thomas Foundation (davethomasfoundation.org).
